What's Open interest (OI) indicator?

The Open Interest (OI) indicator provides a visual representation of the total value of open long and short positions for a specific futures trading pair, enabling traders to analyze market activity and sentiment.

Open interest indicator serves as a gauge of market activity. When open interest is minimal or absent, it indicates either the absence of initial positions or the closure of most positions.
