What do I need to do when I change my country of residence?

If you're updating your country or region of residence, there are essential steps you’ll need to complete, including identity verification and managing any unsupported assets.

Depending on your selected new country or region, you may follow one of two tailored transition processes designed to ensure a seamless experience. To guide you through each step, we've prepared detailed reference guides.

If you need to close positions or manage unsupported assets, your transition journey will be customized to help you navigate these changes smoothly and efficiently.

Guide A

  1. Select Next to proceed to the selecting process of your country/region of residence

  2. Select your new country/region of residence from the available list and select Confirm

  3. You'll be redirected to a guide page and you have to complete the relevant tasks, if applicable

  4. You'll then be asked to verify your identity again. Learn more how you can do it here.

Upon successful identity verification, your country/region of residence will be updated to your new one. Rest assured, all your account statements and data will remain available to you.

Guide B

  1. Select Next before selecting your new country/region of residence and confirming it, similar to Guide A

  2. You'll be redirected to a page detailing what you need to complete

  3. Next, you'll be redirected to a guide page and you have to complete the relevant tasks, if applicable

    Completion of the tasks as listed is necessary for you to start your trading journey

  4. You'll then be asked to verify your identity again, similar to Guide A

Upon successful identity verification, your country/region of residence will be updated to your new one.

Important notes

  • Temporary logout

    • Your account will be logged out for approximately 5 minutes during the update process.

    • If the logout exceeds 5 minutes, wait for the notification email before attempting to log back in. If the issue persists, please contact our customer support team for assistance.

  • Account statements and history data

    • Your account statements, trading history, and funding history will remain accessible for download after updating your country of residence across data centers. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact our customer support team.

    • Fee levels will be reset.

  • API domain update

  • Updated login URL

    • Use the correct login site by following the account login flow on the web. There are no changes to the login process for the app version.
