By OKX Europe GM Erald Ghoos
We're proud to announce we've officially launched in the Netherlands.
Our Product in the Netherlands
Dutch customers can access spot (buy & sell) trading, as well as convert services, for over 150 cryptocurrencies including more than 60 crypto-Euro pairs through our OKX exchange platform. Additionally, our OKX Wallet provides a gateway to the Web3 world, allowing customers to hold full custody of their own crypto.
It's easy for our community to withdraw and deposit Euro thanks to our integration with iDEAL, the most popular online payment system in the country. With iDEAL, Dutch customers can instantly deposit funds to their exchange platform accounts free-of-charge. Deposits and withdrawals through Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) are also available for free.
Why the Netherlands?
The Netherlands has a thriving community of crypto enthusiasts, new entrants, experienced traders and long-term holders. It's well known in the crypto industry that the Dutch are early adopters and are active participants in the crypto and Web3 communities.
The Netherlands is also well-known for its knowledge-based economy, technological innovation, and investment landscape - not to mention world-class design thinking. As we grow our local team and pursue our strategy, we aim to hire the best talent who will help us stay close to the community and maintain sustainable growth.
We're committed to investing to further grow the local team, led by our Benelux Regional Manager Roy van Krimpen, and will also leverage our global product knowledge and technical expertise to offer the most advanced and intuitive trading tools to the Dutch market.
Our Vision in the Netherlands
We're hard at work building around the world to bring our community a powerful, customized product. We're also steadfastly dedicated to compliance and security and believe the future of crypto is regulated. For our centralized exchange platform services in Europe, we hold a crypto service provider registration with De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and a virtual financial asset service provider license in Malta.
We were one of the first in the industry to publish monthly Proof of Reserves in late 2022 to validate full backing of customer funds held on our exchange platform. With 19 consecutive monthly snapshots published, we continue to drive the industry's adoption of new and improved reporting standards.
We're very pleased to launch our crypto exchange platform and OKX Wallet in the Netherlands, and would like to hear feedback from our customers on how we can better serve them. We invite you to download the app, visit us at okx.com, and reach out to our Support team to get in touch.
