OKX to set a new upper limit for the USD value of limit orders
Published on 31 Oct 20232 min read
Dear OKX users,
To maintain the stability of the trading system and protect the order book from sharp price movements, OKX will implement a maximum USD value limit for a single limit order across all trading instruments, starting from 8:00 am UTC on November 9, 2023. A limit order that exceeds the limit will not be placed successfully.
The new maximum USD value limit for single limit order across all trading instruments (spot, margin, futures, perpetual swaps, and options) will be 20,000,000 USD.
If you have open orders that exceed the new limit, we strongly recommend that you cancel or modify them to prevent any order failures.
Important notes:
- API users will encounter an error code “51185” when attempting to place an order that exceeds this new limit. Frontend users will encounter the error message: “The maximum value allowed per limit order is 20,000,000 USD”.
- Orders placed via RFQ (Request for Quote) and Nitro Spreads are exempt from this new limit.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
OKX team
