OKX to list July 5, July 26, and August 30 dates for crypto-margined ETH expiry futures
Dear OKX users,
To improve market liquidity and offer more trading opportunities, OKX will adjust the expiration date rules for ETHUSD-margined expiry futures. At 8:00 am UTC on June 21, 2024, we will expand the available durations for ETHUSD-margined futures to the following: weekly, bi-weekly, monthly (new duration), bi-monthly (new duration), quarterly, and bi-quarterly. Currently, we only support the following 4 durations: weekly, bi-weekly, quarterly, and bi-quarterly.
The adjustment details are as follows:
ETHUSD futures generation
After futures expire at 8:00 am UTC on June 21, 2024, new futures will be generated with expiration dates of July 5, 2024, July 26, 2024, and August 30, 2024. Following this adjustment, all the available expiration dates for newly listed futures will be as follows:
ETHUSD: June 28, 2024
ETHUSD: July 5, 2024
ETHUSD: July 26, 2024
ETHUSD: August 30, 2024
ETHUSD: September 27, 2024
ETHUSD: December 27, 2024

Listing time | New futures will be listed at 8:00 am (UTC). Bi-weekly, bi-monthly, and bi-quarterly futures will be listed. If the expiration dates for new and existing futures do not coincide: Bi-weekly: every Friday Bi-monthly: every third-to-last Friday of the month Bi-quarterly: every third-to-last Friday of the expiration month (January, April, July, and October) If the expiration dates for new and existing futures coincide: New futures won’t be listed if their projected expiration dates coincide with those of existing futures. For example, if there are already monthly futures expiring on a specific date, a new bi-weekly futures set to expire on the same day won’t be listed. | New futures will be listed at 8:00 am (UTC).
