Avoiding Phishing sites

Published on 16 Aug 2024

Phishing sites are impostor “fake” websites that are designed to trick people into believing they are the actual websites for legitimate companies.  The sites will use similar colors, branding, and even exact copies of the real website’s layout and content.  The web address / URL is often very close to the legitimate site with only a single character or letter altered in the address.

The phishing sites have one purpose: to steal your information.  The sites will attempt to capture your username/login, password, and other sensitive financial information (credit card numbers, bank accounts, etc.).

OKX US is not responsible for activity that occurs on phishing or impostor websites.

To avoid phishing sites, please ensure that you are accessing the company's official website and downloading apps only from official marketplaces.  Our website is https://www.okx.com.  If you receive communications (emails, SMS/text messages, social media posts, etc.) that claim to link to our site, always check the url when you arrive.

If you encounter a phishing site, or receive suspicious communication, please email us.support@okx.com.  We may ask you to share the full URL, a screenshot of the text message/SMS, or forward us a copy of the email.

We take our customer’s security very seriously and greatly appreciate you sharing as much information as possible about any phishing attempt and where it may have come from.

Thank you for helping us keep OKX US and our customers safe!
