Web3 Orderbook System Upgrade Announcement

Published on 2 Aug 20242 min read

Dear OKX Wallet users,

In order to improve your trading experience, we’re updating the Web3 ZKDEX Spot and Derivative testnet service to the unified-account version. This new version will be named Orderbook and deliver a fresh on-chain trading set-up. The scope of this update encompasses our web, app, and backend services.

This update won’t cause any asset loss, as the current system operates on testnet with test funds that have no actual value. Once the update is complete, you’ll need to re-approve logins and claim new test funds to start trading again. Spot and derivative trading will share a single trading account. Orderbook will continue to operate on testnet and offer derivative trading services in USDC-margined single-currency margin mode.

The update will begin at 10:00 am (UTC+8) on August 5 and end at 10:00 am (UTC+8) on August 6. During this time, access to our ZKDEX spot and derivative services will be temporarily disabled. After the update, the web version of Orderbook will be accessible on August 6. The app version will be available when the latest OKX app is released on App Store or Google Play. The current and previous versions of the app will no longer support ZKDEX spot and derivative products. You’ll need to update your OKX app to the latest version to use the Orderbook feature.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
