Bitcoin Halving

Bitcoin halving is an event where the reward for mining new blocks is halved, meaning that miners receive 50% less Bitcoin for verifying transactions. This event takes place approximately every four years, or after 210,000 blocks have been mined. The next Bitcoin halving is expected to take place in April 2024 when the block height reaches 840,000. When this happens, it will be reduced from 6.25 Bitcoin per block to 3.125 Bitcoin per block.
